Loch Hourn
Barrisdale Bay. June 2006.
Barrisdale Bay lies in the heart of the Knoydart peninsula on the shores of Loch Hourn. Relatively isolated, it is accessed via a well maintained stalkers path that follows the undulating contours of Loch Hourn’s steep sided south shore. After an enjoyable walk in I pitched my tent and waited for the Sun to set over the Loch. A persistent haze had been gradually building throughout the day and this helped to naturally filter and intensify the evening light into a spectacular sunset.
