Wester Ross. Hasselblad 30mm. June 2009.
Gruinard Bay is nestled within the rocky coastline of Wester Ross. Its distinctive pinkish sand originates from the Torridonian sandstone that surrounds it. This location is very easily accessed and while waiting for low tide I watched from my elevated position as two slow moving Basking sharks skirted the headland and entered the bay.
