The Fiddler
Coigach. Hasselblad 30mm. February 2011.
Sgurr an Fhidhleir rises like a sharks fin from the floor of the Coigach peninsula. This shapely summit is really a subsidiary peak of Ben More Coigach where it forms the midway point in a magnificent rock buttress 3 miles in length with cliffs that drop vertically 1500 ft (457m) down to the secluded Lochan Tuath. Shot from the summit of Beinn Tarsuinn just after dawn, I finally succeeded in capturing this image after two failed attempts in previous years.
