The Skye Cuillin from Raasay
Isle of Raasay. Hasselblad 45mm. April 2009.
I had climbed to the summit of Dun Caan, the highest point on the Isle of Raasay, the previous morning. Frustratingly I was presented with a persistent bank of low cloud refusing to break and obscuring any view towards the mountains of Skye as I had hoped. 24 hours later however, I was standing in the exact same spot under the complete opposite of climatic conditions. The perfectionist in me had visualised something in between but with nature, more often than not, you must take what you are given.
