Lismore
Loch Linnhe. Hasselblad 45mm. December 2010.
the view east from Dun da Ghaoithe on Mull is made up of many recognizable peaks, from Ben Cruachan on the right all the way to Ben Nevis on the left, some 60 kilometres/37 miles away. The serene nature of this image is contrary to the effort and logistics required to capture it. After boarding the early morning ferry from Oban to Craignure and walking 10 kilometres/6 miles to the intended location, I calculated I had only ten minutes to make a composition and exposure before starting the descent back in order to catch the last ferry to the mainland before Christmas!
