Barra
Outer Hebrides. Hasselblad 45mm. April 2011.
Perched on the edge of Europe the Atlantic outpost of Barra is the most westerly inhabited island in Britain. For a relatively small island it has a remarkably diverse landscape, rich in photographic opportunities. The best of these being the west coast where the solitary sand beaches are a true Hebridean gem and the next stop west is Newfoundland nearly 2000 miles away.
