Loch Creran
Appin. Hasselblad 30mm. June 2010.
I had climbed Ben Sgulaird with the full intention of photographing Ben Cruachan across Loch Etive. However, upon arriving, the scene and weather conditions failed to meet my expectations. With the opportunity of making a worthwhile photograph now diminished I turned around and retraced my steps. I was still high up when a beautiful sunset started to develop as the tail of a retreating weather front was spectacularly lit up by the setting sun as it dipped below the mountains of Mull and the Kingairloch peninsula.
