Ben Vorlich

Ben Vorlich, the most northerly member of the 'Arrochar Alps' offers some excellent views towards Ben Lomond and beyond to the famous waters of Loch Lomond. After a long and steep ascent from Inveruglas, I lingered on the summit and watched the last group of climbers disappear down the rugged spine before me. Alone, I waited for the sun to set and watched as the snow-covered landscape absorbed the last rays of intensive winter light before starting my own descent into the darkness.
