Ben Starav
Glen Etive. Hasselblad 45mm. June 2009.
Like a fossilized sleeping dragon, Ben Starav is the dominant hill of the Etive peaks. It rises steeply from the enclosed confines of Glen Etive and is therefore particularly hard to photograph. Having climbed a smaller summit on the opposite side of the glen, I set about exploring potential viewpoints that would show the true grandeur of one of my favourite mountains.
