Sandwood Bay, Sutherland. Hasselblad XPan 45mm. March 2015.
Lying at the end of a 4-mile track, this magnificent stretch of coastline faces North West, straight into the teeth of the North Atlantic. As a result the approaching weather and surf is mesmerising to watch and was something I wanted to capture on film. This isolated beach is a personal favourite, for the photographer it has everything: big waves, sea cliffs, sand dunes and the landmark sea stack of Am Buachaille.
