The Lairig Ghru
Lairig Ghru, Cairngorms. Hasselblad 30mm. December 2012.
The Lairig Ghru is a high mountain pass that carves its way through the heart of the central Cairngorm plateau,
one of the wildest areas in the country. This great gorge features some of Scotland’s most revered winter
mountains and this image shows its western aspect. From left to right are the summits of The Devil’s Point,
Cairn Toul and Braeriach.
