Montrose Bay Stretches for five and a half miles from the Montrose basin to the small village of St Cyrus. This span of coast has a long association with traditional salmon fishing where stake nets were set up on the low lying sand to catch the precious fish as they made their way from the sea to the mouth of the River North Esk.
